Policies

CLASS PLACEMENT

For new students only: On Wednesday, September 7th at 7 pm, a Ballet placement class will be conducted. Adult Division and students under the age of 8 need not attend. Please call the school in advance to reserve a place in this class.

REFUNDS

For medical reasons ONLY; must have written verification from doctor within 2 weeks of injury.

NEW SNOW DAY POLICY

The decision for class cancellation will be made by 2 p.m. (if possible) and listed on all major television stations. When in doubt call the school's office.

CREDITS AND MAKE-UP CLASSES

Credits can be used only by the enrolled student and only in the form of make-up classes. Make-ups classes cannot be carried into the summer session or be used for tuition credit.

TRIAL CLASS

Prepayment of $12.00. This is to try a class only. We do not have a pay per class policy.

CLASS CARDS

10 classes for $135.00

CANCELLATION OF CLASSES

The school reserves the right to cancel a class at any time if enrollment falls below 6 students. Currently enrolled students will be placed in a new class or given a refund for the remaining classes.

CLASS ATTIRE

BALLET

Children, Junior and Senior Divisions:
Females: All students in these divisions must wear pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Leotards for each class are:

Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet - Pink (Simple leotards please; no attached skirts, appliques, etc.)
Ballet I - White
Ballet II - Light Blue
Ballet III - Royal Blue
Ballet IV - Red
Ballet V and Children's Beginning Ballet - Black
Intermediate through Advanced Ballet Classes - Any solid dark color leotard (preferably black).

Boys: Any color leotard or t-shirt, gym shorts or black jazz pants instead of tights, white ballet shoes.

Adults:

Females: Any solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.
Males: Any color leotard or t-shirt, black tights or black jazz pants, white socks, white ballet shoes.

JAZZ & MODERN

Females and males: Any solid color leotard and stirrup or footless tights or black jazz pants.

Jazz 1 and 2 - bare feet
Jazz 3 and up - white jazz shoes*

*Jazz sneakers must be approved by instructor.

TAP

Any solid color leotard and pink or tan tights.

Children's Beginning - Leo's tap shoe #6026 in tan.
Int/Adv Tap - Capezio Flex Master Split Sole tap shoe #CG16-SO388L in black.
Continuing Tap & Adult - Sansha T-shirt TN Tan.

HIP HOP - MUSICAL THEATRE - INTRODUCTION TO DANCE

Appropriate dance attire. Instructor will discuss specifics at first class. Jazz sneakers required for Hip Hop.
